Free Senior Scam Awareness
Modern scams have become incredibly sophisticated. It is no longer just obvious, poorly spelled emails; today’s fraud involves highly realistic bank alerts, terrifying computer pop-ups, and aggressive phone calls claiming to be from the government.
We believe digital safety is a fundamental right. That is why we offer this 100% free community service for adults over 50. In this patient, one-on-one session, we remove the fear and embarrassment around scams and replace it with practical confidence.
What We Will Cover Together
- Spotting Fake Messages: We will look at real examples of phishing texts and emails so you can easily tell the difference between a real alert from your bank and a scammer in disguise.
- Handling Aggressive Callers: We will discuss exactly what to do—and what not to say—when someone calls demanding immediate payment, gift cards, or remote access to your computer.
- Defeating Tech Support Pop-ups: We will show you how to safely close out of those terrifying, loud "Your computer is infected!" alerts without accidentally downloading a virus.
- Actionable Defense: We will configure your smartphone to automatically silence unknown callers and review how to safely block repeat offenders.
The 30-Day Safety Net
We never want you to second-guess a suspicious message alone. This free session includes our 30-Day Safety Net. For a full month after our meeting, you have access to free, 30-minute phone support. If you get a weird email or text and aren't sure if it is real, you can call us to double-check it together.
