Community Tech Week
Technology is not a luxury; it is a fundamental requirement for navigating modern life. Whether you are trying to access healthcare portals, protect yourself from financial scams, or simply organize your digital life so it stops causing you stress, everyone deserves access to patient, judgment-free help.
To support our Gainesville neighbors who need it most, Hand in Hand Tech Coaching hosts Community Tech Week once every quarter.
During this dedicated week, all of our standard tech coaching and security services are provided 100% free of charge.
Who is Eligible?
Because we have a very limited number of hours available during this event, Community Tech Week is strictly reserved for individuals facing major financial hardship who desperately need digital assistance but absolutely cannot afford the lowest tier of our standard sliding scale.
During this week, we dedicate our completely free appointments to those experiencing severe financial distress who need help with:
- Adults 50 and Over: Older adults seeking patient, foundational device training or scam awareness coaching.
- Neurodivergent Adults: Individuals looking for peer-led, ADHD- or autism-friendly strategies to manage digital overwhelm and executive dysfunction.

What Services Are Included?
During Community Tech Week, eligible community members can book any of our standard 1-hour sessions entirely for free:
- General Tech Coaching: Patient help with smartphones, iPads, or laptops.
- Scam Awareness & Security Audit: Locking down your passwords and learning to spot modern digital fraud.
- Neurodivergent Tech Navigation: Organizing your digital environment to reduce sensory overload and daily friction.
Time Buffer: If we are making great progress and my schedule permits, I will gladly extend our 1-hour session by up to 30 minutes at no cost.
The Community Week Promise: Ongoing Free Support
If your first appointment takes place during Community Tech Week, we make a commitment to your long-term digital health.
- Free 1-Year Extended Phone Support: You automatically receive our full year of 30-minute phone support sessions at absolutely zero cost.
- Free Follow-Up Appointments: If your initial setup requires more time, or you need to book a follow-up session to review what we learned, those subsequent appointments will also be provided completely free of charge.
Our Only Payment Request We will never ask you for a credit card. The only "payment" we ask in return is that you simply pay it forward by being kind to someone else in the community today.
Strict Confidentiality Your privacy and dignity are paramount. Any information you share regarding your digital struggles, accounts, or financial realities is held in strict confidence. I will never repeat or share anything discussed during our sessions.
